Abstract:Promoting the high-quality development of academic journals in the new era constitutes a crucial strategy for enhancing research quality and academic achievement levels. Aiming to establish a comprehensive evaluation index system for high-quality development of academic journals in the new era, this study focuses on quality assessment of statistical journals. Building upon systematic analysis of the contemporary value and social functions of high-quality journal development, this paper innovatively constructs a multidimensional evaluation framework encompassing journal scale, influence, and comprehensive efficacy. Utilizing empirical data from CSSCI-indexed statistical journals from 2013 to 2022, an integrated evaluation model is developed through entropy method. Key findings reveal: (1) Statistical journals demonstrate significant uneven development trends, characterized by asynchronous progression between scale expansion and quality enhancement; (2) The quality evaluation system exhibits "quality prioritization with moderate scale" features, highlighting the urgent need for connotative development transformation in China's statistical journals. Accordingly, this paper proposes strategic recommendations including integrating qualitative and quantitative methodologies, optimizing academic journal quality measurement systems, and strengthening quality development awareness, thereby providing reference for advancing high-quality development of statistical academic journals in China.
