Abstract:Today, with the rapid development of science and technology, digital technology has led the new trend of technological innovation. However, from the perspective of the manufacturing industry, research on the impact paths and mechanisms of digital transformation is still insufficient compared with driving factors. The?paper takes the digital transformation as the research object. It utilizes visualization methods to present the current research on?digital?transformation in the manufacturing industry, revealing the overall development status and trends in this research field.?Additionally, it adopts a scoping review approach to systematically review and synthesize the topics of digital transformation and its impact on enterprise performance via the Web of Science (WoS) and CNKI databases. Based on the Wind platform, a total of 3 188 listed manufacturing companies from 2007 to 2022 are used as research samples to empirically test the impact of digital transformation on enterprise revenue growth rates, as well as the mediating effect of total factor productivity. Research results show that an enterprise's digital transformation can significantly promote its operating income growth. Total factor productivity plays a positive intermediary role, and this promotion effect is more obvious in non-high-tech enterprises. This study proposes that manufacturing companies should follow the trend of digitalization and actively implement digital transformation strategies to promote high-quality development and enhance market competitiveness.
