Abstract:Science fiction serves as a natural "source of vitality" for new productive forces. Against the backdrop of the innovation-driven development strategy, the innovation, development, transformation, and transition of the science fiction industry have attracted considerable attention. This study, based on an exposition of the regional development pattern and characteristics of the science fiction industry in China, focuses on the development model of the science fiction industry in Chengdu. It extensively explores its developmental trajectory, practical experiences, as well as the challenges and opportunities it faces. Utilizing the TOE (Technology-Organization-Environment) theoretical analysis framework, a dynamic model for the development of the science fiction industry in Chengdu is constructed from the perspectives of technology, organization, and environment. The research reveals the intrinsic laws and development trends of the science fiction industry, as well as the inherent connections and interactive mechanisms between the science fiction industry and technological innovation, organizational ecology, and the development of regional economy and culture. It provides valuable theoretical guidance and practical insights for promoting the regional development of the science fiction industry in various cities.
