Abstract:Academic entrepreneurship is an important way to realize scientific and technological achievements to the market and commercialization. In order to further explore the research hotspots and development trends of academic entrepreneurship in colleges and universities, based on the perspective of the entrepreneurial ecosystem theory, 3099 literatures sourced from Web of Science were visualized and analyzed using the Citespace software in bibliometric method. On the basis of the quantity, country distribution and research themes of academic entrepreneurship research literature, this study analyzes the research hotspots such as technology transfer office, personal factors of academic entrepreneurs, and research on the influence mechanism of different identity roles on academic entrepreneurship, as well as the development trends of academic entrepreneurship research at different stages.It is proposed to create an external environment that conducive to enhance the internal drive forces of academic entrepreneurship of university scientists and technologists, to promote the construction of entrepreneurial ecosystems within universities and in the region according to local conditions, and to improve the functions and responsibilities of the Technology Transfer Office as the linking element of the internal and external environments.
