Abstract:Recent years have seen a growing number of Chinese contractors participating in international competition through the mode of EPC. A scientific analysis and an accurate positioning of strategies for the development of international EPC projects are very important for Chinese contractors to succeed in venturing overseas. Eight key obstructing factors of “go globe” for Chinese EPC are extracted based on empirical studies. From the following three aspects: strengthen basic operational capacity, enhance the capabilities of integrated management and risk response for contractors, improve the external environment, proposed a strategy to provide useful reference for the decision-making of Chinese engineering companies to participate in international EPC contracting business.
