Abstract:In the trend of anti-globalization, coordinating urban safety development and enhancing the ability to withstand risks has become an important strategic measure to enhance the modernization level of urban governance and ensure the sustainable development of cities. Based on the panel data of 276 prefecture-level cities from 2006 to 2022, this study investigates the impact of public data open platform on urban resilience. The study finds that the public data open platform can enhance urban resilience, and passes a series of robustness tests; the public data open platform can enhance urban resilience through industrial structure effects, innovation and entrepreneurship effects, and resource allocation effects; the public data platform in regions with low resource endowments has no significant impact on urban resilience, while the public data platform in regions with poor digital infrastructure can play a complementary role in enhancing urban resilience; the openness of the public data platform in regions with low government intervention has no significant impact on the economic resilience of cities.
